Sydney is with no doubt one of the most famous holiday destinations with its various picturesque landmarks and a stunning harbour. This city is also well renowned for the Opera House and Harbour Bridge; however there are several other attractions that are worth being visited here that are not so well known. Here are some of the best attractions in Sydney that are definitely worth being visited:
Opera House
The area around this place is great for experiencing views over to the Harbour Bridge in addition to the Opera House. The best moment to visit this place is during night time in order to see both the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House under lights. This place is easily accessible due to the fact that is located in the Circular Quay area and it is also a great hub for visiting other attractions in this city.
Harbour Bridge
Along with the Sydney Opera House, the Harbour Bridge is with no doubt the most representative place for in Sydney. You can also enjoy the excitement of climbing the bridge and since both the Opera and the Harbour Bridge are in such close proximity you can visit both places on the same outing.
Taronga Zoo
Taronga Zoo is with no doubt one of the world’s best zoo, including a wide range of both international and Australian native animals. This particular zoo also offers amazing views of the Opera House, Sydney Harbour and Sydney Harbour Bridge. One of the best ways to get to this zoo is to get a ferry from Circular Quay and go across the harbour straight to the zoo.
Sydney Tower
This is a great place for anyone who wishes to see Sydney from above. It has an observation deck which is available to the public between 9 am to 10:30 pm. The tower is 1,001 ft. tall, being the tallest free standing structure in Sydney and the second in Australia. It is definitely a great experience for the whole family.
Darling Harbour
Built for the 2000 Sydney Olympics, Darling Harbour houses some of the best restaurants and bars in Sydney. There are also several other attractions that can be seen here such as the Sydney Wildlife World, the Chinese Gardens and the Sydney Aquarium.
Bondi Beach and Manley Beach
Bondi is with no doubt the most famous beach in Sydney. It is well known for the great bars, cafes and restaurants which are a good choice after catching a few waves.
Manley Beach is located to the North-East of Sydney and it is the best choice for any family. The best way to get to this beach is by getting a ferry from the Circular Quay terminal.
The Multicultural Restaurants and Food in Sydney
Beside its amazing attractions, Sydney is also well known for the multicultural food and restaurants. It has cuisine from most countries in the world mostly due to the fact that Australia has a large multicultural society. So whenever you are in Sydney make sure that you try some of the restaurants here and get a taste from each culture.
